I’ve been using Kora Organics Noni Glow Body Oil and their Limited Edition Body Washes for a couple of years. I love that the company uses organic ingredients, is cruelty-free, and does not test on animals. I recently received a sample of their new Noni Radiant Eye Oil from Sephora, and was super excited to try it out. I have been on a mission for the perfect eye oil or creams for many years now.

At first, I noticed the little eye roller wasn’t releasing any product. Based on reviews I had read, it seems this is a common issue for many people. Once I pushed down on the roller and heard a click, it started to work. The eye roller and oil felt AMAZINGLY soft and cool under the eyes. The oil took some time, but did absorb well into the skin. It didn’t have much of any odor. I only tried the eye oil one time before bedtime and woke up the next day to a BIG surprise! See pictures below;

The next morning, I woke up to an allergic reaction that terribly burned, itched, and hurt. About 10 hours later I had to go to an emergency walk-in clinic to get help. The doctor prescribed 6 days of steroids to help the rash go away. If you you’ve been following me for a while, you know I try to go for holistic remedies as much as possible – but this was really-really bad!

What did I learn? Always test a small part of your skin before trying it all over! Even though this project is certified organic, it can still give a terrible allergic reaction Sometimes even more so, because the product is pure.

Kora’s Customer Service Experience – OH MY!

I emailed Kora’s Customer Service Department and left an honest and polite review on their company website. I wanted to make sure everyone is aware, so this doesn’t happen to other people. My review was not approved to be published on their website, and all I got was a “Sorry, thanks for letting us know” reply to my email. I did not ask for a refund, since this was a free sample from Sephora – BUT Customer Service emailed me twice stating I am not approved for a refund. (Uhhh…I wasn’t asking for one!) I then posted a review on their Instagram, and did get a kinder DM asking for more details on my experience. Unfortunately, I will not be shopping with them again.

Anyone else have a similar experience to any of Kora’s products or organic products in general?

  1. Ugh, I’m sorry that happened to you. Thank you for posting about it. If a company can’t handle someone politely telling them that their product caused an allergic reaction that warranted a trip to the doctor, that’s not a great sign.

    1. i bought their products recently, too. They sent me product with no package at all. Moreover, it is almost expired. I bought at full price. I ask their customer service. First, they reply it is strange. Then they change their attitude by saying that it is normal, they won’t give me any refund. If I am not happy, i need to pay all shipping fees myself. The next day, they apologize but still said that that they are not guarantee anything. Cannot believe Miranda Kerr and Kora will do such a thing which is so irresponsible. They don’t care about customers’ feedback. they even hide the comments in the website of Kora Organics.
